“…I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.”(John 10:16, ESV)
Since our earliest days, the Alliance family has rallied together to go to regions beyond—to “preach the gospel where Christ’s name has not been named.” Today, more than 3 billion “sheep” still live in places where there is little or no chance to hear the good news. Our Good Shepherd is on a mission to bring these remaining people into His fold. He is revealing unique strategies and opportunities into the regions beyond—and He’s calling us to join Him.
FRESH CLARITY IN A COMPLEX WORLD
We are experiencing a fresh clarity in Alliance Missions that reflects Jesus’ commands and example of caring for people—body, soul, and spirit. This approach is welcomed in a rapidly changing world, weary of words yet open to Jesus-loving servants who can provide valued services that address real problems.
Most of our Alliance international workers today live and work among vulnerable, overlooked, and displaced peoples, some of whom are antagonistic to outside influence. This calls upon our global teams to establish a meaningful, impactful presence as nurses, doctors, business entrepreneurs, teachers, disaster relief specialists, and more—providing desperately needed services that build trust and open doors to share the good news. God is continuing to reveal emerging opportunities to serve these under-served communities, which will result in churches planted and reproduced and people developed who will lead their communities and church networks in ways that reflect the Good Shepherd’s care.
This is the new face of Alliance Missions—intentional, broad, and diverse ministries leveraged through our four specialized structures: CAMA, marketplace ministries, aXcess, and Envision. Each structure is equally important to seeing gospel access for and from all peoples.
These emerging opportunities require new kinds of people with different approaches to serve in unreached communities where God is leading. Today, there is more room for more Alliance people to get involved in Alliance Missions than ever before!
God has called The Alliance to bold, innovative advances into the regions beyond—together! How will you and your church join with the broader Alliance family to answer the Good Shepherd’s call to bring more of His lost sheep into the fold?
